Madelyn climbed the Sky Trail at the zoo today with Jon! This was totally Madelyn's idea. She's been wanting to climb this since the 1st day we saw it. Madelyn did awesome...not one slip or fall occurred. She's quite the athlete I must say! She was super proud of herself after she was done!
Here they go!
Jon always half a step behind
I yelled, "just like the balance beam at gymnastics!" She was a little nervous at first.
Almost done
This afternoon, we got a surprise visit from Grandpa! Madelyn & Ansley had fun playing outside with him. They threw their new gigantic frisbee back & forth until Grandpa tired himself out. Its always nice to get a visit from my Dad!!

Ansley at My Gym
Ansley has been to 3 weeks of My Gym class. Madelyn went there from the time she was about 1 yrs old till she moved to All About Kids. Ansley has a lot of fun. Its good to see Mr. Bill & Ms. Katie again, it wouldn't be My Gym with out them! Madelyn goes with us except she sits behind the counter while she plays with her toys & eats snacks from her back pack. Madelyn starts calling out for me about half way through the class asking if she can come out to play too. She gets to come out for the puppets & the good bye song, which makes her very happy!

Easter Bunny
This morning Jon, Madelyn, Ansley, & I went to Oxmoor Mall to buy Madelyn's new quilt & shams for her big bed (Queen size) that she is going to start sleeping in when we move to Indy. Madelyn is going to get her own room while Ansley & Jr will share a room. I totally forgot about the Easter Bunny being there so needless to say I forgot to bring our camera & the girl's Easter baskets for a photo. Jon, ran home, gathered up the goods, & met us back at the mall in no time. We got our Easter photos, everyone was happy! Madelyn told the Easter bunny that she wanted jelly beans & chocolate. She just couldn't understand why the Easter Bunny didn't fulfill her requests right then & there. We had to explain (as we did with Santa) that we have to wait for Easter morning.

Fun Afternoon
After Ansley woke up from her 3 hour nap yesterday, the girls & I went to the zoo! The weather was perfect for a zoo trip...sun shining, warm temps, & a nice breeze. Madelyn got a new baby panda figurine (I could write a whole story on her animals). We stayed for a couple of hours, went home to eat dinner, then made cupcakes! I was having a chocolate craving & we had a cupcake kit from a chocolate party I went to. It took longer than I expected b/c I had to make the frosting as well as the cake batter. We didn't have time to eat any cupcakes but did sample the batter & frosting. Our cupcake extravaganza ended b/c Ansley fell off the chair she was standing on & landed on the hard tile floor. After she calmed down, I gave the girls a much needed bath, then let them watch a short movie while I frosted the cupcakes. They went to bed at 8:00. Jon had to stay the night at the hospital but he was able to come home for about 15 min to tell the girls goodnight. I was able to clean up the house & finish my book ("New Moon", 2nd book of the Twilight series). Can't wait to read the next book "Eclipse". I am hooked on this series & will be sad when I've read all of the books. I am excited to watch the movie too!

Picnic
Ansley woke me up this morning at 6:20 (Ouch). I tried to snuggle with her in Madelyn's bed thinking maybe she'd fall back asleep & let me sleep for a few more minutes, but that didn't work. Madelyn was in my bed nestled comfortably between Jon & I. Jon & I were not so comfy due to Madelyn's kicking & sharing of our pillows as she slept so soundly! The girls & I went to Kroger this morning then went to get Madelyn's hair cut with Tracy. Madelyn has been so excited (this was her 2nd haircut). She was such a good little customer...she got a shampoo, cut, blowout, & a style. Even Ansley's hair got some much needed attention. We give the girls a bath & wash their hair in the evenings b/c its more convenient for me. During the night, Ansley's pretty curls get smashed & smudged by her pillow as she sleeps. In the morning, Ansley's hair is a big puff of frizz in the back! Tracy squirted some water over the frizz, blow dried her hair, then added some leave-in-conditioner. The results were fabulous...now Ansley doesn't have to walk around with frizzy hair anymore! Since it such a beautiful day, the girls & I had a picnic lunch in our backyard. Madelyn's loves picnics. We had a picnic dinner with Daddy at Seneca Park yesterday. Ansley is taking a nap but when she wakes up, maybe we'll go to the zoo (another favorite of the girls). Jon has to work late tonight. Hopefully we'll have a nice day tomorrow b/c I know he loves taking advantage of this weather too:)
